Groove Street Productions is the creation of Alex and Joanne Pesusich. Being dancers, teachers and once students themselves, they both saw the need for a dance convention that had the following ideals:
Inspiring faculty
Room to dance
Cutting edge choreography
Quality staff & assistants
A caring & supportive atmosphere
Affordable fees
A chance to get to know other dancers and faculty members
Loads of FUN!!!
So they created two separate conventions that each have all of those elements.
In 1998 they started GSP and in 2002 they created Street Groove!
GSP: The Dance Convention is your chance to take classes
from the entertainment industry’s top choreographers and dancers!
GSP is a whole weekend filled with challenging, fun and inspiring classes in jazz, tap,
musical theatre, hip hop, lyrical, turns & progressions & more!
GSP travels to Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and now Saskatoon in the fall/winter each year.
Street Groove: The Hip Hop Dance Convention is another chance
for hip hop dancers to experience a whole weekend of master classes
that are focusing entirely on hip hop!
Street Groove offers classes in old school, locking, popping, waving,
breaking basics, house, new school and street.
PLUS: There’s a live DJ and a Freestyle Jam with the faculty on Saturday!
Street Groove travels to Edmonton and Vancouver in January and/or February each year.
